All solar panels require a voltage regulator to ensure that the battery is not overcharged. Protects the battery condition, against bad polarity and against reverse charging when the sun goes down. This also has output control if using it up to 10A of 12v lighting or other 12v appliance. We recommend the 10AH for 10w-140w installations.
